Summary
Dr. Strange looks at the world after Thanos and, faced with its seemingly irreparable brokenness, breaks his own oath. Tony, Stephen, and Loki go back in time for one more chance - an intentional choice, because they are each other's insurance against repeating the same mistakes. Tony wakes up shortly before the Stark Expo with the reactor's palladium core still poisoning him. Stephen wakes up with undamaged hands and a flourishing medical career. Loki wakes up in Asgard one day before Thor's coronation.

[ Yet another take on that time travel fic with lots of worldbuilding, hand-wavey comic book science, political intrigue, inventing, nerding out, and a broken Tony trying to fix a broken world - but this time he's not alone. ]

Summary
Dumbledore once told Harry Potter that death is only the beginning of another great adventure. These words were spoken not from a sincere belief in the existence of something after death, but to ease the boy's grief in the face of the inevitable death of Nikolas Flamel.
Speaking these words, Albus didn't know that for some, death could actually become the beginning of a new adventure. And that this would be the case for Severus Snape, who, after his death in the Shrieking Shack, wake up in Middle-Earth a few months before a certain hobbit embarked on his own adventure with thirteen dwarves.
This is the beginning of the adventure of a wizard and a hobbit—for both would meet at some point along the journey—who would set out for the Lonely Mountain. Both would find something along the way, and both would have to decide whether to return.
