They get like this, the two of them. When things get hard, they take it out on each other instead of communicating like the grown adults they are. They bitch and snip and fight and it’s ruthless because they know each other inside and out, and they know every button to push, every wire to cut to make sure the other implodes.
It’s not healthy. Osamu knows that. But underneath all of that toxic waste, they really, truly love each other. They always work it out in the end. He wouldn’t keep trying for anyone else.
