Alastor’s eyes flicked up to meet his. His pupils were blown wide, face flushed a deep red.
“I have not…” he muttered, his voice unsteady in a way Lucifer had never expected to hear. “That is to say, I don’t make a habit of…”
Oh, Lucifer realized. Oh, he really hadn’t done anything like this before.
“Do you want me to stop?” he forced himself to say, because he genuinely couldn’t tell.
“No.”
He still seemed hesitant, but there was an intensity in his tone that had Lucifer flushing all the way down.
“Okay,” he breathed. He nodded, swallowing hard against the sudden dryness in his throat. “Okay, good, because I’d really like to ravish you now.”

Summary
Lucifer sat at the edge of the bed.
Not their bed but one left abandoned in Alastor’s old rooms, untouched and forgotten since before he’d moved into Lucifer’s. The sheets smelled wrong - faded with disuse, lacking the sharp static bite of Alastor’s scent - but his body had already begun to twist the space into something familiar. Something necessary.
A nest was forming.

Alastor has been the conductor of the orchestra for years, youngest ever to hold the position, thank you kindly. When the Board pushes for an open audition, he was prepared for the tone-deaf clout chasers to waste his time.
He was not prepared for Lucifer, the man who ruined his mid-morning coffee run, to reignite the fire in his heart that once drove him to compose. He was not expecting the return of the muse he lost years ago to be accompanied by violin concertos and dazzling sapphire eyes.And Lucifer? He just needed to get out of his newly-leased divorcee pad and figured the old violin he found amidst the boxed up ruins of his marriage was better than pickleball.
