    Peter's shoulders went up. Just a fraction. He didn't turn around.

    Flash crossed the hallway. Pulled the jacket off and balled it up. "This is more your speed anyway. Zero style, zero effort. Like, I'd have to literally not care about how I look to wear this."

    He threw the jacket at the back of Peter's head. It hit and slid down to the floor.

    In which Flash Thompson is an asshole, and also the only person in the world who can get Peter to accept a new jacket. Snippets of a relationship with more layers than either of them are willing to look at.

After a chance encounter, Peter finds himself being mentored by none other than Daredevil with no shortage of guest-taught lessons from the older vigilante's friends and acquaintances. This exposure to the grittier side of the city and vigilantism as a whole leads Peter to discover a conspiratorial plot to destroy New York City.

    He knows they’re both in the wrong after how, well, everything went, from the ferry to the test-that-wasn’t-a-test. But that doesn’t mean he was willing to break the quiet.

    He also knows he needs help—bad. So instead of Iron Man, he finds (falls into, really) something better.
