Summary
Pete and Tom have spent the last thirty years navigating their relationship in an ever changing world- through the highs and lows; deployments and leaves. But now, as Pete is to lead a suicide mission in the heart of enemy territory, he has to choose a wingman- Hangman or Rooster. Reconciliation with Bradley seems impossible, no matter what he does, and Tom believes the boy will get him killed. Left with no other option, Hangman is chosen as Dagger Two.
Though he delivers the Navy a successful mission, he also delivers himself onto a minefield of chronic pain, politics and a relationship on the brink of collapse. With the help of friends and family, Tom and Pete both must figure out what's important in life, and what sacrifices have to made to achieve it, all before there's nothing left to loose.

Tyridius never expected to be the one in charge of a ragtag group of people ranging from a slightly worrisome Shar obsessed Cleric to a skulking Vampire- but just because he didn't expect it, doesn't make them any less of his responsibility. Times are tough, in the Underdark, and there's only so much food to be found.

“-your point being?” Tyridius cuts in, massaging his temples to try and force the looming headache away.
“When was the last time you ate?” Astarion asks plainly, arms crossed and finally still. There’s a dark look in his eye that is a bit worry some.

His son was battered and bruised, but not broken. As it always was, with Henry.
God above, as it always would be, he’d prayed, over and over again, sitting vigil at Henry’s bedside; for the first time in either of their lives being allowed the simple domesticity of sitting beside his sick child, worrying, and waiting for him to get better.

Henry’s lungs burned as he sprinted through the darkness of the forests of Pribyslavitz. Pain laced like lightning across his back from where a Cuman had managed to strike him when the last barrel of arrows had been slow to ignite. This was supposed to be a stealth mission.
Kurva.
Sir Radzig was going to be so disappointed in him.
