Summary
As everyone knows, Magical Girls usually retire after graduating school.

At 30 years old she has to balance her life as a Light Novel editor in Tokyo while also protecting the city from otherworldly threats wherever she can.
In a world full of dangers and more-or-less useful allied Magical Girls, she is determined to keep the peace, but she has to struggle with her own demons and otherworldly enemies who target her specifically.

The Smoke War brought the City to a standstill as the machinery of war roared to life; its output nothing but industrialized slaughter wrought upon by weapons never seen. This sentiment, though valid, is only one I would retain if the war itself was not such a lopsided affair.
Yet, what if a person who has fought in, wrote about, and documented these Great Wars as a military historian was sent to a City 3 years before the Smoke War erupted?
