    “Run!”

Link didn’t hear the words come out of his mouth, but Zelda did, and took off towards the cavern entrance. The ground began to crumble under her feet, and Link saw it fall away before she did. Body numb, Link did what he was always meant to do—thrust her forward, out of harm's way, back against the wall, and suck in foul air as his feet met nothing. And then he was falling.

“Link!” Zelda shrieked, jerking forward with an outstretched hand. For a moment her fingers almost brushed his ruined hand, and then she was gone. There was the rumble of falling rock, the echo of vile laughter, of her screams, then gold, gold, gold—and then nothing.

    - Or, Link finds himself many millennia in the past after awakening a mummy below Hyrule Castle. Now, he has to find out how to repair his sword, return home to his princess, and figure out just what the Gerudo king with a name far too close to Calamity Ganon's is up to before it all goes to hell.

    Summary

This is ridiculous. Something out of a dumb shonen Manga, like most of his life since he met Fushiguro. He'd think this was a stupid joke by his teacher if it wasn't for the fact that he's nearly died.

    “I can't do shit without a heart, Gojo-sensei. I don't want to die...”

    “You won't, I promise.”

    “Because you timetravelled?”

Gojo grins widely. “Not at all, Yuuji-kun. You'll live despite the fact that I timetravelled. You would have lived anyway. Now, you'll just live with… a little bit extra.”

    Summary

A comic adaptation of the Hobbit.

Bilbo has always struggled to tell the "true" story of what happened on his journey to the Lonely Mountain. Now, he's trying to retell his adventures as a bright happy children's book for his young nephew Frodo.

But is he telling the full truth? And are there things that he's leaving out?

(I'm taking the interpretation that Tolkien's 'translation; of the Red Book of Westmarch was only a translation of one of various copies made of the book throughout the centuries, and that I am 'translating' a different version of the text with the help of different primary sources! Which is why our descriptions of the events may differ.)

    Summary

The Company of Thorin Oakenshield had many grievances during their first few weeks on the road, but the most baffling one was the way the Halfling spoke to the Wizard.

To the Dwarves, Gandalf was a figure of ancient power, a Mithrandir of storm and shadow, a being who could summon fire from his staff and command the respect of Elven Lords. You didn't just talk to a Wizard; you waited for him to speak, and then you nodded as if you understood his riddles.

But Bilbo Baggins didn't seem to have received that particular manual.

    Summary

Don't look back is a lesson taught to every demigod early. Time taken to look back is time lost, and time lost can be the difference between life and death. Looking was for once you were safe enough that it couldn't get you anyway.

    He looks.

The curtain in the attic window sways.

    "Percy."

There's a hand on his shoulder— a real one— before Annabeth is turning him towards her, fingers digging into his skin. The smell of decay vanishes, overwhelmed by salt and sea, a fresh breeze blowing up from the Sound and tossing her hair to the wind.

"Percy," she says urgently, eyes bright and storming and wild. "Did you see something?"

Sometimes the world ends, everything is horrible, and your best bet for survival is using your cannibal grandfather's reality-destroying object of power to jaunt backwards through time and hope you (Percy) don't fuck it up even worse.
    Fingers crossed.
