Summary
When Sandy found out she was pregnant with Sodapop’s baby, her parents sent her to live with their cousins in New York. They reside on the west side, and her cousin is part of a gang. Although she and her cousin Riff were really close, they knew they couldn’t do this alone she needed a home, so he introduced her to The Jets.
Riff had changed a lot since the Rumble. The experience had made him realize how he much he wanted to live. He barely made out of the Rumble alive. After that, he made a treaty with the sharks for peace. Tony and Maria started dating, and everything seemed normal. He also made up with Valentina, and she gave him a job at Doc’s. Additionally, he saved up enough money to start renting his family’s old apartment. Then one day he got a call from his aunt and uncle in Tulsa. He convinced them he was his father, and they asked him if he could take in their pregnant teenage daughter. Riff decided that if her parents were trying to get of her when she needed them the most, the didn’t deserve her, so he agreed. And that’s when the chaos began
