“When did you arrive? And does the General know you’re here?” Which, rude, but fair, since I had snuck away at the first opportunity.
“Not yet?”
The Commander silently stared at me, just long enough to feel accusing.
“Well, I’m sorry, gonna do that now! Bye!” …Don’t judge me, it was a tactical retreat!

Of her several epitaphs, she had been the Dark One, that it was her son Eros who sowed chaos at her whim and at her feet, and that the gods feared love as much as they craved it. That another of her names was Ishtar, as surely as it was also Venus, goddess of war and beauty and love and defier of death.
When the daughter of Aphrodite, touched by Death, looks across the face of lost Percy Jackson, she certainly remembers all about her godly parent, because she had been a mythology scholar in her first life, and she hears the call of war as she looks into sea-green eyes.
Or Sena Strand is much like her mother, and when something is her’s, she plays for keeps.

Summary
When Jedi Commander Serra Vey shields Boil from an explosion, the Force does something unexpected: it forms a bond.
Now Boil can feel everything Serra feels, Serra can feel everything Boil feels, and neither of them signed up for this level of involuntary emotional transparency — especially when Serra has feelings for a certain Marshall Commander she hasn't told anyone about, and Boil has a secret he's never shared (he writes fanfiction).
The ground rules are simple: don't mention what you feel, don't acknowledge what you know, and for the love of the Force, stay out of each other's way.

“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Summary
Several years ago, a postdoctoral student named Elizabeth found herself landing in Middle Earth, a place that she had read and watched many times before. Only, this Middle Earth was different- darker. The Last Alliance of Elves and Men never happened for the elves abandoned mankind by forming a secret truce with Sauron. Mankind eventually won the war at great cost and quickly turned on those who betrayed them, the elves. Now, all elves in Middle Earth are hunted, and those caught are enslaved.
In this strange and dark version of Middle Earth, Elizabeth found her way to Minas Tirith, became a heralded healer, and eventually her medical skills, knowledge of Middle Earth, and whits granted her the honorable position of Head Advisor to the King. For many years she has served Gondor well and fallen in love with this magical- if at times barbaric place. Yet, all this changes when an elf she recognizes shows up. Now, she finds herself navigating the dark waters of politics whilst trying to keep both her morality and responsibilities in tact.
What will happen when she finds herself the master of an elven slave she never wished to own?
