Summary
Toji thinks of the boy that his son had kissed so casually, the flush on his son’s face when he’d stormed out of the room and later swore him to silence. He thinks of the shyness Megumi so desperately tried to hide when Toji had suggested they share the bed for the night, and the way he had lay on the bed like a plank of wood before Toji had taken pity on him.
For all he’s a high-schooler pretending to be a mature Beta, Megumi is so damn young. He’s still so innocent, so immature, so untouched.

The two seemed to have come for Will, because they rounded on him right away. “Did you hear about the AI being tested?” Price said excitedly, while Zeller perched on the side eagerly, waiting for a reaction. “We’ll get to be the first people interacting with it. The people on the ground apparently think we’re too lonely in space, so they sent an AI to keep us company. Ha! As if we’re that desperate for human interaction. But anyways, it’s a bit of a project for spare time, if you want to work on it, Will. All you have to do is talk to it. The more input, the better, right?”
