Wano had been hectic, to say the least. Sure, he and Sanji had interacted and fought side by side, but they hadn't had a chance to talk about what had happened on Zou.
Honestly, Zoro doesn't really want to talk about it. He just wants things to be normal between them, without all the tension and uncertainty.
He thinks that's what Sanji wants, too, but then again, maybe he's not as good at knowing what Sanji wants as he thought he was.

Summary
After joining the rebellion, Kallus’ life changed for the better. On Yavin, he found a cause truly worth fighting for, people he cared about, and a position inside Intelligence where his skills were put to good use. Things were good. He had no desire to change any of it.
Only, it seemed that change had simply been waiting for him.
Strange things began to happen around Kallus. Things that didn’t make sense. Things that shouldn’t be possible. But as there were more important things to focus on, Kallus rationalized it all away and pushed it out of his mind. This held true until the moment he watched Zeb about to die at the hands of the Empire, prompting Kallus to somehow do the impossible - and without meaning to, take his first stumbling steps down a path he never would have believed was meant for a man like him.
He had a bad feeling about this.

Summary
Rento is my original character in the Naruto universe who is flown to Sunagakure with terrible burns after his village, Kazane, is destroyed by fire from a mystery shinobi force. Gaara's role as Kazekage is to provide protection and track his progress, but their bond ends up deepening more than either of them expect. This work explores the attack on Kazane, Rento's life in Kazane before the fire, Rento's determination and eventual progression into a shinobi, and the development and deepening of his and Gaara's relationship across two years.
This work takes place during the timeskip between the end of the Gaara Hiden novel and Boruto, where Gaara is 25-27 and has been Kazekage for a decade.Note: my OC is *not* a self-insert. He is a completely original character design. I wrote this fic to fill in gaps in Gaara's canon character arcs based on my interpretation of his character - and also to be creative. And also because Gaara deserves love.
