Summary
Subspace is missing! Or is he? Rocket wants to find out what really happened after their last conversation, deciding to find the puzzle pieces that his brother left behind. Things fall into place until other things start to interfere with the plan.
One Deity returns to extract their revenge, desperate to have their very family play into their claws. On the other hand, a certain paranoid traitor might just have accidentally lead his friends right into them.
or
Rocket and Sword look for Traitorspace while Icedagger tries to fuck things up for everyone else.
(Early concept is inspired but this isn't going to be a faithful adaptation of DITF.)

There are three things Katana has learned in his 43 years of living:
Firstly, passionate inphernals will only burn for their passion. More often than not, they cannot be reasoned with.
Secondly, if the wind is right, it takes only one spark to burn the forest and its fauna.
And lastly, akin to morels that attest to a forest fire, his scars attest to what love has done to him; may it never belong to him again.
...Quite a harsh way to put it, but life did not spare him from its harshness. He did not mind. He was better off working alone anyway.
