Spencer has been quietly watching Hotch for several weeks and is growing increasingly concerned. That concern boils over with the whole Hardwick issue, and on the drive back to Quantico he can't help but want to do something to help Hotch. Considering the man's usually difficult-to-break-through walls, Spencer knows he can't just force Hotch to do anything. But, if he can make a chip in that proverbial wall, maybe he can get Hotch to open up a bit.

Summary
Aaron Hotchner went rogue five months ago. He left a letter detailing that Jack was now to be looked after by Spencer Reid. Spencer obviously obliged. Besides his crush on his now ex-boss, he adores Jack and Jack adores him too.
Spencer never tells the team about the gifts or letters from Aaron. The accessories and the outfits with specific orders to wear them and when. The little hints left with chocolate or coffee in his hotel room on cases. The reminders that Spencer is Aaron's and he should really stop leading on Clyde Easter.

Summary
After the death of his ex-wife Aaron Hotchner is in search of a nanny. When Spencer Reid walks into his office he's convinced that the universe is playing some cruel joke on him because it wasn't fair that he found someone like Spencer when everything else in his life had gone to absolute shit. Spencer Reid still doesn't know what he want out of life but then the Hotchner's came into his life and it finally felt like everything fell into place. Neither dare to admit what is hanging heavily in the air. But when Spencer get's hurt Aaron realizes that he doesn't want to lose him.
