Summary
Crowley’s hands go to Aziraphale’s face – where is his taut anger, his tired emptiness, his alarming distance? “Look at me, please.”
“My dear,” Aziraphale breathes.
“It was a trick. You’re alive. I’m alive. We have time to find the printer, or the catalogue, or the digitised whatever, wherever the copy of the book is. We can put this back together.”
Or, Crowley has a plan, but Aziraphale doesn't know it. It works. A canon-compliant fix-it of series 3.

Summary
“He’s in there.” Crowley jerks his head towards the cell door, unenthusiastically.
“Oh,” Aziraphale hesitates, “he?”
Crowley growls into his hands. “They’re killing the lad tomorrow, at least give him that.”
“Oh. I never met him, you see.” Aziraphale carefully lays a hand on Crowley’s knee, just for a moment. “My dear, what has happened?”
“Do you know why they’re executing him?”
“I imagine it’s because he’s an enemy soldier with God on his side, who’s shown them to be fools.”
“Heresy. He wore men’s clothing, you see.”
Long before Armageddon, Crowley and Aziraphale meet outside Jeanne d'Arc's cell. Aziraphale comes to realise something about Crowley and something, maybe, about himself.

Summary
Sherlock is relatively confident that he isn’t a sodomite. That would be simpler. He cannot imagine this creature rising in his gut for any other man. And whatever form it wishes to take, he cannot see it resembling something ordinary. This isn’t about sex. This is about wanting to curl up in the centre of James Moriarty’s life, and live there like a creature.
Or, after the events of series one, Sherlock reckons with his feelings, James' relationship with Beatrice, and what Sherlock really wants from James Moriarty.

Summary
“If you’re a time traveller,” Hopeless asked, “when did you come from?”
Hopeless had moved nearer to Larrikin, who had not really sobered, and was still looking excessively happy with himself for no particular reason.
“I … two thousand and seventeen,” Valkyrie said, and then she looked at Skulduggery, “help me up.”
The skeleton took a moment to move, and then he extended a hand and supported her arms so she could stand. There was an overwhelming lack of familiarity in his behaviour.
“Alright,” Dexter said, “So that’s how you know Skulduggery.”
Valkyrie frowned, “I didn’t expect you to take that so well.”
“Well,” Larrikin said from the floor, where Dexter had dropped him sometime during his laughing fit. “You’re not the first.”
Or, Valkyrie travels back in time and meets the Dead Men. She finds them very different to what she expected.

Summary
After everything, Aziraphale and Crowley, by unspoken agreement, begin sharing their lives.
---
Why? Aziraphale wanted to ask him, why millennia of the way things were, and now this? But while Crowley seemed to have little issue upending every unspoken rule they’d ever written for themselves, Aziraphale was not so flexible, and they had spent thousands of years never quite addressing whatever it was this had stemmed from. Words, Aziraphale had always felt, were for bickering about where to eat for lunch, or hashing out ontological debates, or other trivial nonsense; there was no need to trifle with the imprecision of language, with phrasing and the possibility of being misconstrued, when it came to important matters if the other person simply understood, without needing it said. Six thousand years ago, when Aziraphale had met Crowley on the wall of Eden, watching the first two humans set out to begin the rest of history, something deep within him, more central even than his Grace, had thought, oh, it’s you, and that had been enough for him--for both of them, he assumed--for three millennia.
However much he wanted to ask, he didn’t know how. The words simply weren’t there.

Summary
Four years after Aziraphale became Supreme Archangel, he returns to Earth for good. The end of the world has been averted, and if humanity knew, they’d be kissing the ground Aziraphale walked on for preventing it.
But how exactly he stopped the Rapture, Aziraphale does not remember. Whatever they did to him up there leaves a coldness in his soul where memory should be. What he does remember is Crowley four years ago, leaving him in the bookshop, leaving him to face Heaven alone.
Now that he’s saved the world and returned, Aziraphale finds Crowley right where the Demon left him. And he is not as quick to forgive as he used to be.

“It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people." — Terry Pratchett

Summary
Aziraphale is used to being the shoulder that others cry on. He does not need help. He does not need comfort. He has done far, far too much wrong to deserve such things. And he’s fine, really. There’s absolutely nothing wrong. He is perfectly alright.
Until, one day, he isn’t, and six thousand years’ worth of guilt and shame and fear spill out before he can stop them.
Good thing Crowley’s there to help.
