“Venti, someone saw you.”
There’s a pause. “Someone saw me,” Venti repeats.
“Nimrod,” Diluc nods. “Got drunk in Angel’s Share afterwards. Charles told me, which means that everyone in the bar must know by now, and probably half the city.” Then he mutters something about Kaeya, which Venti would address if he felt anything like normal. It’ll be fine, probably.
The idea of Nimrod knowing, of half of the city knowing –
Anemo rises up between Venti’s limbs before he can even put the idea into words. He doesn’t think about it, barely processing what he’s doing, before he blinks out in a flurry of teal.
(Venti intervenes with an Abyssal threat and gets caught. Mondstadt doesn't see him again for weeks.)

Summary
Kaeya is suspicious.
Something is up with Venti. A lot of his stories don't add up. A lot of his anecdotes contradict each other. And yeah, sure, he lies a lot, but even when he doesn't there's something up with him. He swears. And sometimes, when he looks at him, or when he talks, he behaves suspiciously like the anemo archon.
No, surely not. That would be a little too ridiculous.

Summary
The world burns.
A second wave of Celestial Nails rains down upon Teyvat, striking down those who have betrayed the sacred sacraments of the heavens. The Seven’s rebellion is extinguished, and the Traveler goes down with them. Entire nations find themselves as collateral, and the few survivors turn towards unsavory allies in their desperation.
A grieving twin carves what remains of the world apart in her despair, and rallies the desperate and depraved under a banner of vengeance, sworn to strike down the heavens themselves for their transgressions.
Darkness clashes against the Light once more, and the ark crumbles beneath the pressure. As the world barrels towards its inevitable end, a lone wind spirit is forced to seek out its creator.
It is only there, at the edge of time and space itself, where God and Shade meet once again. Together, mother and son weave a spell unlike any seen before, and rewind time itself.
Five thousand years in the past, teal eyes open once again for the first time; the God of Wind born anew.
But, what use is there, in a god of freedom bound by the shackles of fate?

“Whenever I think of patrols, the knights, the Ragnvindrs, Mondstadt as my home, the wind is gentle and warm. Comforting.” He frowns, “But whenever I think of my past, of my old family and my homeland... it turns cold, harsh. It doesn’t like when I think of my past.”
Outside, the wind howls. A shutter of a nearby shop bangs. Kaeya didn't flinch, but it was a near thing. Aether stays silent.
