Summary
It seems every C-rank mission team 7 takes is destined to go horribly wrong, especially one that has been deliberately mis-ranked and sent their way. Whoever planned that could never have expected this outcome, though.
Takes place in an altered universe where Kakashi is a more dedicated teacher and Sakura's parents really don't understand ninja. Events take place between the Wave mission and Chunin exams, and before the battle for Kannabi bridge. Somehow, an unknown party managed to get a recon mission to Iwa listed as a C-rank and assigned to team 7.

"Staying away from assassins out for my blood." She couldn't make out their faces very well, but Batman's mouth twitched open for a moment and Nightwing's short hair moved slightly on his forehead (she assumed it was from his eyebrows being raised). Maybe, she should have waited till she jumped right into that, but it got their attention.
"Assassins?" he questioned.
"Yeah, from the League of Assassins."

Violence and slight gore. There will also be one permanent character death, two if you count undead. The Hellsing universe won't be a big part in my story, only one character will have any real relavance to this story and the universe I'm using is the abridged.
The present world has been reset numerous times in the past in order for members of the Guardian Order to destroy a creature that they believed should not exist, a creature that Gimmi refused to let anyone interfere with as he was not only paying penance for his sins, but was Gimmi's chosen. After finally realizing this, the Order reluctantly decided to try and create a shaky treaty with this creature.
Still, the world burned because of a madman. The creature swallowed his pride and begged Gimmi to reset the world where those he cared for found peace. Now in present time, Lila caused the near akumitazation of Marinette waking up something deep inside. Something that got a piece of Hawkmoth and learned his secrets.
A month later the class is treated to a month as visitors to Gotham Academy to celebrate Hawkmoth's defeat, and allow them time to heal. Of course Batman and his need to know everything may have had something to with it as well.
