Summary
“Why do you keep touching me?” Kisuke asks, finally.
It’s none of the circling that Ichigo’s expecting. He’s used to Kisuke talking his way around issues until he gets what he needs, and no one even realises what they’ve said because they’re too busy being confused over how their conversation got to that point. This is not that. This is direct and blunt—the way he prefers to do things. Which admittedly, makes his life easier.
“You like it,” he says. He’s not asking, because he knows. “And it gave me an edge.”
“You still lost,” Kisuke points out.
Ichigo hums, but silently disagrees. Because he feels like he won just as much with this fight. “Worth it,” he says instead, and grins when there is a slight flush of pink on Kisuke’s cheeks that goes just as fast.

“Oh. Is that all?”
Honestly, he’s been expecting this for a while now. Orihime spends more time here than at her own place, more time here than Ichigo does.
Ichigo can afford to get his own place if he looks for something small. It’s not like he’ll be there much anyway, since he’s just going to keep going over to the Shoten with or without the excuse of avoiding overhearing his friends having sex—
Or, I could just ask to move in, Ichigo thinks. It’s not like it’d be much different from what I’m doing now.
He’s pretty sure Kisuke will let him. The only down side is that there’ll be no running away to hide for a week whenever he's reminded he loves Kisuke so much that it hurts, but Ichigo can deal with that.

Summary
It’s Isshin, who calls Ichigo a dog. But it’s Ichigo that called himself Kisuke’s dog, a weapon on a leash.
A hand, large and burningly warm, presses against the small of Ichigo’s back. He has to resist the urge to lean into it, the echo of his father’s voice ringing in the back of his mind.
“For someone who doesn’t have any reiatsu,” Kisuke says, pressing close enough that Ichigo can feel the heat of him. “You’re stunningly adept at making it known when you’re angry.”
Kisuke’s hand drops from the small of his back, and Ichigo would mourn the loss, but his knuckles, instead, brush against the back of Ichigo’s hand and - for a single, heart stopping moment - Ichigo thinks about dogs and leashes , and wonders what Urahara Kisuke’s hands would look like wrapped around his throat.

“They want me to get married,” Ichigo says with the sort of bewildered offense that he often wears after returning from Seireitei. Specifically, whenever he’s been handed orders from Central 46 that he deems bullshit, and which he’s going to do his damnedest to get out of.
“Did they say who they had in mind?” Kisuke asks, curious. And besides, it’s never too early to start planning how to eliminate a target, should such a thing become necessary.
“They’re trying to marry me off to Byakuya." Ichigo's face is scrunched up. Confusion or disgust—or some blend of both, ideally.
“Probably because you insist on calling him by his given name,” Kisuke says, aiming for teasing and landing a little too close to bitter, instead. It’s been years. Years. And Ichigo still predominantly calls him Getaboushi or Urahara.

OR:
Central 46 gets it into their heads that Ichigo would be easier to control if he was married off to someone in the Gotei. Kisuke would rather pull an Aizen and kill every last one of them than let that happen. Luckily, Ichigo is--more or less--of the same mind.for the prompt: devotion
