Summary
Ganondorf along with his title is promised to ancient relics of the past; however, the Zonai of the past had interfered with that timelong tradition. His sense of self caused his view of Rauru and Queen Sonia very low, undeserving of the Throne and the power that came along with it.
Link travels to the past instead of Zelda, creating a parallel story and outcome of how Tears of The Kingdom. Without knowing, the stone of time soul binds him to the Demon King, Ganondorf. Ultimately, this makes his fate via the triforce significantly different. Alongside Sonia, he learns the limits of time.

Summary
Enji knew Hawks well enough to know that he was telling the truth. He relaxed his eyebrows and gave him a small, closed-mouth smile, barely lifting the corners of his mouth. A second later, it dissolved into his usual frown.
Hawks gaped at him, his usual confident smirk nowhere to be seen. His wings shifted and he looked away for a moment. If Enji hadn't been watching him so carefully, he would've missed the hint of a flush creeping up his face.
"Calm yourself," he muttered. It was barely a smile. Hawks cleared his throat.
"I'm calm, Endeavor." But the faint bloom of pink that stained his cheeks told Enji otherwise.

Summary
The Ferocious mercenary, King Ganondorf and direct descendant of the goddess Hylia herself, Queen Zelda have spent countless lifetimes battling and rampaging at war, with her royal guard Link who would always turn the tides. Over those countless lifetimes, death and turmoil were all seemed to follow, and it has taken a toll on the three of them collectively, none could admit, and decide to end the pointless cycle of war and hardship. In order to finally bring peace to Hyrule, and its neighboring countries, the two rulers trade something of equal value to one another as a sign of mutual respect that they hope will last this lifetime, their royal knights.
Reluctantly, Link volunteers himself in this endeavor to serve as Ganon's personal knight and has to carry out the rest of his days protecting, guarding and serving him.
