Summary
Set in the early 1800s, in which Aesop is just an ordinary embalmer living his commoner life, but one day he receives a invitation for the city's royal manor's party. He's reluctant at first, wanting to stay in his dull but secure house, but after agreeing to go he will be swept away by eventful situations and mysterious figures, as he decides to unravel the mysteries of the place. He has to be careful, though: nothing is what it seems, and the past can become more vivid that he thinks.

Summary
When Cahara meets the priest and the girl for the first time, he doesn't think much of them. He acts friendly before robbing them blind, leaving them alone in the dungeons. After all, he needs their supplies more than they do. Surely they will realize their quest is hopeless, and they will leave when they still can.
After wandering in the darkness for days, Cahara meets them again. The priest is missing his arm and his eyes, one of his legs broken, yet Cahara is the one who feels hopeless, and he begs them not to leave him here alone.
The priest grants his wish, but it comes with a price.
