Summary
"I'm tired of big, stupid, bullies," Zoro ranted. "Nobody will play with me, and they're always mean to me! They push me, and call me names, and even run away from me whenever I leave my house."
. . .
With the abrupt move from Japan to America, Zoro still has trouble fitting in with the other kids.
Luckily, there’s a bug, a hole in a fence, and a blonde boy.

Summary
Sanji couldn’t recall the last time he had seen a look like that on Zoro—those twinkling eyes and his beautiful smile with those dorky dimples—during occasions that didn’t include some form of food.
It made Sanji think: what was he doing wrong?
—
Sanji realizes a few things about his relationship that trouble him.
Like Zoro’s happiness, for example.
After docking on an island that celebrates the winter season with a large festival, Sanji becomes determined to make Zoro happy, even if it means throwing himself away in the process.

Summary
He wondered if his swords were what was left of him; what was left of his humanity and sanctuary, if he used the edge of each blade to communicate rather than words and gestures because he was too far gone.
He was born as a human, yet he only knew the language of steel and death.
—
Zoro has grown used to the demons that happened to be embroidered into his skin. He thinks living hurts worse than dying. But, the warmth finds him anyway, and he learns that everything is permanent—and yet, nothing is permanent.

Summary
So that’s how it starts, but it is not, unfortunately, how it ends. Mainly because it doesn’t end, that is. It keeps happening, often multiple times a week, and before he knows it Sanji’s been letting a piece of potentially sentient plant life into his pants for going on two months. He can only assume it’s a result of taking one too many hits to the head.

“I’m gonna say something,” Zoro says, drying the dish that Sanji passes over.

And waits.
