It all began with a kidnapping.
Bowser, in a fit of rage, decided to capture Luigi after an argument. However, things didn't go as planned. Mario's shy brother wasn't the simple hostage he'd imagined, and little by little, their routine began to change.
Between arguments, awkward silences, and moments neither of them could explain, something began to change. Luigi discovered a nobler heart in Bowser than he let on, and Bowser began to feel something for Luigi he never thought possible.
But fate, with a curse born from Boo's resentment, decided to play with them.

Summary
It had all started in the war room. Peach, Mario, Daisy, and Toadsworth were all arguing over the best strategy to deal with Bowser and his reign of terror. How that ended with Luigi in Bowser's ballroom disguised as a Princess, he isn't exactly sure.
AKA: Luigi is tasked to spy on Bowser using the Super Crown to take the form of Princess Luigina of Brook Land. Falling in love with the Koopa King was not a part of the initial plan.
