Summary
Beating the brakes off the Los Angeles Rams would have been amazing, proving everyone wrong, everyone who said they didn’t belong there, that some grand oversight or mistake got them into the play offs and this game would be the universe righting itself, fixing whatever broke, whatever let the Carolina Panthers into the play offs.
All of that would have…should have been what Bryce was focused on. God knows he told himself it was what he cared about, what drove him, pushed him, what made him want to prove everyone fucking wrong. Deep down, he can’t lie to himself, not to the very core of himself, and maybe that has always been Bryce’s problem.
It was never just about football.
