Summary
Goku’s entire life has been regulating his reactions to extremes. Keeping a level head even in the face of his five year old baby’s snapped neck. Vegeta used to be so high strung, he went nuclear at the expense of everyone else when they were all least anticipating it. End of an empire, or growing pains? The past still had its claws in him. It left scars in his psyche.
Sometimes Goku measures his own crazy in increments of Vegeta’s old insanity. The guy’s settled down now but boy did he get to stretch his legs. Taking things too seriously just isn’t good for your body and Goku has yet to see that fact be proven otherwise; still, maybe just this once he wants to be the unreasonable one. Maybe he wants to be in love.
(Goku and Vegeta finally get together.)
