Summary
Shane Hollander was getting married, he had gone and made Ilya love him just to leave him and go get married to Rose Landry.
He should have understood that good things were never meant to be his. He had wanted to hope, he had started to hope. But he was never allowed to, that is why he found himself in a dark and cold room missing the warmth of Shane’s body beside him.━
Shane leaves Ilya and is getting married to Rose, Ilya decides to leave everything behind to make that wedding not happen. He does not succeed.

Rose just scoffs silently and shakes her head. “Forget it, Shane. That’s Ilya Rozanov.” At Shane’s raised eyebrows and another, slightly stronger, shove with his elbow, Rose begrudgingly elaborates. “He’s the captain of the hockey team, pretty well-known on campus. And the one thing everyone knows is that the moment you want him, you've already lost.”
Shane frowns, leaning in a bit closer to his friend. “What does that even mean? Is he taken?” he questions, annoyed but still curious.
“Nah, he’s a weirdo,” Rose giggles, stifling the sounds behind her hand when a shush sounds from behind them. “Rozanov loves the chase. He’s got a thing for people who don’t want him, but the moment they show interest back and let him hit he gets bored and moves on. I swear he has some issues he needs to go to therapy for, ‘cause that’s just not normal.”

He himself would agrue that it’s his self-discipline, but the best parts of Shane will always be the hard parts, the rough bits, the hockey player parts. It will always be the warm, slightly damp skin in the crook of his elbow, the bicep that Ilya’s cheek cuts into. It will always be his grip strength and the fidelity of his wrist. It will always be his red face when he yells at the ref. No one sees that, or they don’t believe it when they do, and it baffles Ilya to this day. He wants the world to notice, and he wants to feel it upon himself. But Ilya’s already succeeded in getting Shane to fight him on the ice, so he guesses what he really wants is to be spanked.

At some point their relationship got fucked up enough that Ilya helps wax Shane’s pubes when they’re in town together, instead of doing normal couple things like watching Iron Chef or having brunch. Ilya thinks it started happening around, after the time he had to beg Shane not to bleach his asshole but before they both started peeing while taking showers together. “I just want a clean slate,” he tells Ilya very seriously, but they come to a compromise that he should keep something short and trimmed above his dick. Ilya, on the other hand, is under strict instruction to never touch any of his pubic hair, lest Shane have nothing to hold on to when he’s working the head with the back of his throat, so it’s kind of a shock when he says, “We should wax your ass too.”

It’s a little strange, what it does to Ilya.
Ilya nuzzles further into Shane’s neck, purring quietly in between pathetic little whines. His giant, alpha hands, trail their way up Shane’s body and start kneading at his tits, his teeth scraping just a little against Shane’s scent gland. He’s not threatening to bite, in fact Ilya isn’t posing any threat at all. He’s almost… docile.
