Very cool! This is like The Martian and The Fugitive all in one! Great start.

    Summary

In the bustling metropolis of Zootopia, the citizens prided themselves on their peaceful coexistence. Predators and prey worked side-by-side, living in harmony under the watchful eye of the city's law enforcement. But beneath the glittering facade of civility lay a dark underbelly that threatened to tear apart the delicate balance that had been established.

A string of murdered cops, missing money, police corruption. The Zootopia Police Department, tasked with bringing the killer to justice, was at a loss.

Enter Judy Hopps, a young and idealistic rabbit who had always dreamed of becoming a police officer. Enter Nick Wilde, a sly and streetwise fox who once made a living as a small-time con artist now with a badge and a gun.

More than just partners, with danger lurking around every corner, and their own careers on the line, Judy and Nick must take matters into their own paws to expose the truth and take down their own: the Zootopia Police Department.

    ****************************

A more mature take on the Zootopia universe, set in the late 1980's. It's neon, narcotics, leather jackets with zippers, pop music, and excess.

Dude...this makes Die Hard look like a fairy tale! I'm so blown away. No pun intended.

I hope you're doing a lot better physically and kudos for hanging in there writing with a strep throat. I take it that you got treated right away. (Unfortunately, I didn't-turned into rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis and a heart problem. Kinda made my Police Sciences degree futile.)

I'm looking forward to see what you write next! The intro of Jack Savage was slick. I like how you did that. The Robert De Niro line "Did I stutter?" was comedy gold!

    FWIW, I didn't know Fangmeyer wasn't a guy either.
