Summary
There were rumors of a new tournament going around, one which would give the winners a chance of a lifetime. It was posted on public boards near the center of the city and word of mouth spread it until any half competent fighter knew exactly where and when it would take place.
It would probably be the biggest tournament Techno had ever participated in, potentially the biggest that had ever been held. The prize? An opportunity to win fame and vast sums of money through one of the nobles’ tournaments.

Shoes was helping herself to the parts of a motorcycle that was way too nice to be left unattended at night in this part of town. It was sure to be a decent pay out, until she heard the stupid robot voice call out from behind her, “You know, this is like some fucked-up, backwards deja vu for me.”
She tensed for a moment but didn’t bother turning to see the Red Hood there. At some point after the big bad crime boss started giving her tips on how to get away with stealing or offering her his fucking jacket in the cold, he started to lose his edge of intimidation. Instead she focused on removing the back tire of the bike and saying, “This is just some routine maintenance.”

Summary
Being a supervillain means having many secrets. Your identity, your plans, even your powers must be kept under lock and key lest the heroes begin to hunt you even outside of work. Except, some people do a bit too good a job at that. Techno is 'some people'.
Or, rather, Techno *was* in that category, to the point that no one can actually say who he once was. Amnesia robs even him of his secrets. There may be theories and rumors, but when he actually gets unmasked, he doesn't even know his own name. The heroes can find nothing on him. So, Techno starts anew. The feared supervillain Lord Macbeth is no more, and no one knows for certain what even happened. The heroes cannot be trusted with their claims.
But even if Techno forgets, that past does not. Old allies and enemies scramble to find him again. Whatever happens next is up to them.
