Summary
In this world, the children of Poseidon are different. They grow slowly, not just in body, but in mind and heart.
At twelve years old, Percy Jackson should be old enough to fight monsters and carry out heroic quests. Instead, he’s small, gentle, and trusting, a child in a world that is far too dangerous for someone like him.
But Percy isn't alone. From Grover’s fierce protection, to the warmth of Camp Half-Blood, to the quiet watchfulness of the gods themselves, the world bends a little to protect Poseidon’s youngest son.
When Zeus’s Master Bolt is stolen and Percy is blamed, a quest begins that will carry a very small demigod across a very dangerous world.
Luckily for Percy, everyone who meets him seems to agree on one thing: The sea’s littlest son is worth protecting.

Summary
The horrific, jagged jealousy from moments before transformed into something far more dangerous: a predatory claim.
He didn't care where the boy had come from. He didn't care which foreign sea god—some pathetic deity from the edges of the world—had been so catastrophically stupid as to lose such a treasure. To leave a child like this, a living godling of the salt, out in the open? To let him be swept away by a stray current of rage? It was a crime against the divine. It was proof that whoever had sired this boy did not deserve him.
He is mine, Poseidon thought, and the thought was a law. He looks like me. He speaks with my storms. He has my eyes. He is the child the Fates stole from me, returned by the very winds of my grief.
Or: Poseidon thinks he's stealing a child of some foreign sea god for his own and Percy just thinks he's been booted backwards in time and together they make for half a brain cell.

Summary
Kronos unkindness had bled across the generations of the Olympians, cursing their divinity to lack what others took for granted; from Demeter, whose attempts never ever bloomed to life, Hades, fated to watch his offspring fade away, not leaving a single soul behind, and with their elder sister Hestia swearing off from ever trying.
Only Zeus, Hera and Poseidon had been successful –some more than others.
But the second generation? Their temples were bared as the Hades itself.
And then, the competition between Poseidon and Athena happened, and in the spurned fountain, a baby cried for the first time.
