"I'm talking to you," Katsuki spits, painfully aware of the extras beside him, of the loving praises and affection in the letter he'd caught Izuku putting into his locker. "Tell me who the letter is for."
Izuku sounds cold, hard. Resolute. "No."
He could admit the truth and let the extras turn on Katsuki, so there's only one explanation for his steadfast refusal, one that has energy drawing up and tightening into a blinding white ball in Katsuki's chest. Izuku's trying to protect him.
All this time, and the nerd's still looking down on him.
