“But no women.”
Why was she so hung up on that detail? “No, no women. Is that really so hard for you to believe?”
Ygritte fixed her gaze on him. “I pity you, is all. Not having anyone to lie with, to be with the way men and women are supposed to be together.”
Oh, gods. She was embarrassing him again, talking of intimate matters so frankly. Jon shifted his weight uncomfortably. “It’s just the way things work. The Night’s Watch has always vowed to take no wives and bear no children.”Jon breaks his vows.
