Summary
The first time Will felt that something was seriously wrong with him, he did what he thought was best, which is absolutely nothing. It was hands-down the worst decision he’d ever made, and considering how his life turned out, that was saying something.
If he’d just opened his mouth, said something—anything—it might’ve saved him from being possessed for the next year and a half.

After being given the news by Elminster, Gale begins to believe that no one would miss him except his mother and cat. Looking at Astarion and Atrea (Durge), arm slung around Atrea's shoulder, Gale can do nothing but walk away. Pulling out the books from inside his tent, Gale finds that he has Atrea's journal mixed in with the scrolls he was given. Curiosity builds inside of him until Gale can do nothing but open and read the inner thoughts of his one-sided crush.

Astarion collapsed face-first onto the bed next to her with a dramatic groan of pure suffering. He managed to land hard enough that she bounced, which was actually pretty impressive.
Serra set aside the sock she was darning and ran her fingers through his hair. He almost managed to not purr. “Your first longbow lesson was that fun, then?”
“Speaking as an expert, that so-called ‘ranger’ is a monster,” he announced, gravitas only slightly impaired by the fact that he was muffled by a very fluffy blanket. “I may never move my shoulders again.”
“That would be a tragedy. They're such nice shoulders.”
“Exactly. Utterly monstrous.”
Astarion tries something new. He learns more than he signed up for.

It’s the summer after graduation, and as Mike goes through his stuff in the basement, he ends up face to face with a truth that he probably had always known but never had the guts to think about and face. Will he be facing it tonight? For everyone’s sake, Dustin hopes so.
Dustin seems to be destined to live in permanent grief, after Eddie everything had seem so finite and fragile. El’s death seemed to have both aggravated and soften that. And Dustin wanted to truly be able to face the fact that she was gone and that he had never had the opportunity to tell her how he truly feels. But how can he do that when he becomes increasingly convinced that he’s wrong. Was it grief talking? Was it possible that Jane Hopper was still out there? He was rarely wrong.

She opens her mouth to speak, and then Dalteli tries forcing the door open with all the grace of a lumbering crocodile. It jostles loudly, the sound of a strong lock keeping it shut. Both Shadowheart and Tavara share a knowing look as Dalteli’s attempt at opening it turns into a firm fist banging against the door.
“You won’t get that open easily. Maybe there’s another entrance,” Shadowheart says.
And Tavara chirps up for support.
“Or we can try to pick the lock?”
Dalteli stops punching only to turn around and punch air at Tavara.
“Do you see anything useful here?” she spits.

Tavara Sunsong of Neverwinter and Dalteli of wherever the fuck find themselves somehow alive on a ravaged beach with an illithid parasite and enough tension to cut through with a knife. Unsure of what the future may hold, they know only one thing: these worms have got to go.

It's a harsh winter, and fire would be welcome to some.

The throbbing pain shoots from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet is the first sign of life. A raspy gasp escapes her bloody mouth before her broken sobs of pain begin. There is a blinding light above her, the sun. The freezing cold and the lack of, well anything is the clear sign that she’s still stuck at the bottom of the trench.
Her head is throbbing even worse, the ground beneath her is solid ice making her fall worse. There is something in her hair, most definitely blood or snow. She heaves for air, lungs once again moving with her racing heart pumping blood.
