No SBURB Retail AU In which Sollux Captor hates his job at a stupid clothing store while his girlfriend attempts to hook him up with the patron he loathes the most. In doing so he faces such ordeals as “why is there a giant fishman floating in a huge bubble of water,” “why does said giant fish man come in every single time I work” and “oh my god I just mopped up that floor.”

“Oi!!! You-!” Katsuki snarled, freezing when he locked eyes with the creature that still held him.
The mermaid, or merman, as the lack of boobs attested, preened. Pointed ears lay flat against the sides of his head, twitching and flicking as water dripped from the tips like clear diamonds. A nest of green curls lay waterlogged on its head, framing a handsome face.
Its massive tail curled and flexed in the water around them, shining under the light of the moon that broke through the cracks of the cave around them. It was utterly gorgeous, the scales glistening and flashing with brilliant hues. From the creature’s navel the color started off black, fading to a warm crystal green until it reached the end of its tail. The fins were white, looking like lace as it spanned wider than Katsuki was tall. The fin wasn’t singular, instead had two that curved down with smaller ones hanging from each side. On the mers hips was more white frills, draping down into long lovely trails of white and green that floated in the clear water around them. His entire body seemed to be spun from starlight and silk, the random colored scales that broke up the seamless ombre eye-catching.
“Holy fucking shit. I got saved by a merman.”
