“Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
Silence over the radio.Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

He also sees spirits, which might be cool if not for the fact that a) no one else does, b) they really don't like him very much, and c) he's pretty sure the heroes now think he's a villain working for the League.
Aizawa Shota just wants to take down Overhaul, rescue Eri, keep his students alive, get some rest, and find out how this Deku kid knows things he absolutely should not know about his personal life and the Shie Hassaikai case.
Unless Nighteye's right, and the kid really is a villain.

Summary

Because heroes only showed up some of the time; then, if you were lucky, they’d rush onto the scene, seek their glory in defeating villains and then vanish behind a screen of adoring-fans, TV cameras and fame… leaving the ordinary people behind to sift through the fragments of their broken lives themselves.
No one had saved him from the ruthless reality of being an orphan too old and too damaged to be adopted and no one gave a damn about the shady area ensconcing the care-centre he was raised in either, and so, he decides to give a damn.
What follows are the tales of Café Owner Aizawa who hasn’t adopted several kids, intimidated the local gangs, scared off the pimps and caused multiple villains and heroes to catch feels for him, no sir; he just serves drinks, provides decent food and helps struggling students with their homework.
It’d be irrational to think otherwise…

Thoughts
I accidentally woke my dog while ranting to no one about how I love this fic and nearly equally hate that I’ve yet again screwed myself by reading something that is in progress. I will now give him some kisses and reassess the choices that led me up to once again making a decision to read something ongoing when I am so awful at coping with incomplete writing. Don’t think I didn’t catch that wonderful foreshadowing, I can’t wait to find out who he REALLY is. >:)
I assume he is from a line that was targeted by Grindelwald and was taken into the Ciro family to protect his bloodline. It’s a lovely piece of work, with much worldbuilding and exploration into deep well-defined characters. Also fictional politics, which are fun. An amazing journey.
This is everything. As per usual.
I am curious, if Nathan actually is under an assumed name for his protection, if he is a Peverall? Every time I read this I feel like it goes in that direction but this author is so skilled I can’t tell if I’m picking up on subtle foreshadowing or if they’re leaving space for the readers to project so they can hit us upside the head with something else. Goodness I’m so excited!
