His breath escaped like fog in the cold winter air; it stung his lungs, and it tasted of frozen spring rain. He pulled the scarf tighter around himself, hoping to keep out the unforgiving, ice-cold dragon’s breath that assaulted his body as he crunched through the snow. The wool of his scarf barely kept the cold from reaching his ears that were no doubt red from how much they were ringing. The last few months had been normal, right?
He tried to pinpoint the exact moment when his breath started catching in his throat when the white-haired buffoon was near– when his heart began to skip entire sections of the score required to sustain him.
He hated the fact that he needed to make a strategic retreat today when the man had gotten far too close and he could feel the man’s breath on the nape of his neck, and warmth against his back. He had been at the market, simply reaching for ingredients for the meals he had planned for the group for the rest of the day, and the man in question had so brazenly reached and showed off his slight difference in height so as to grab the bundle of dried pea flowers that was ever-so-slightly out of Mydei’s reach. The market had been busy at the early hour, but he also wasn’t expecting such an ambush.
“I should get you flowers more often, Mydei, I bet they would look very pretty in your hair.”
Mydei gets ambushed a few times and then things get raunchy.

Every piece of self-doubt had crept in each time he started talking to the guy since the first time he saw those pretty golden eyes when they were kids and every time he tried talking to him after. He held his hand to his own chest, breathing steadily.
He had it all planned out, he was going to ask if the guy had any plans and invite him to the art gallery that has a special exhibit opening for a limited time on the guy’s favourite artist, so there was no way he would be turned down!
