Summary
Obanai never had the best sleep schedule.
That feeling of being watched, every move monitored by predatory, hungry eyes, never left. It only morphed into something different once the Serpent Demon was beheaded; fifty pairs of eyes belonging to fifty pairs of cold, rotten hands.
It was an awful cycle to be trapped in, tossed around between rotten hands, but she had grown as used to it as she could.
Unfortunately, everyone else seemed to have different thoughts on the matter.
Everyone tried to help in their own ways. Still, no matter how much they tried to reach out, Shinazugawa remained Obanai’s most frequent disturbance.

Summary
Sighing, Obanai approached the wooden door and knocked twice. There was a groan, deep and annoyed and obviously Sanemi, before Kochou’s cheerful voice spoke, “Come in!”
Shinazugawa was sitting on a chair, shirtless and bloodied and looking absolutely wrecked in a way that really shouldn’t make Obanai blush beneath her bandages the way she did. Kochou was crouching beside her, veins visible on her forehead as she tried to treat her most difficult patient.
Obanai looked between them, more confused than concerned as she took in the scene in front of her, “What… exactly happened?”

Summary
When Sanemi first met Obanai, the first thing he noticed were her eyes. The second thing was the snake wrapped around her neck.
The Serpent Hashira was intriguing. Interesting, among the sea of Swordsmen that all looked the same and Hashira who never quite grabbed his attention the same way. Sanemi had nothing against most of them, generally speaking, but there was something different about Obanai.
So, and he wasn‘t sure if it was his doing or hers, Sanemi and Obanai started growing… close.
The developments were small at first. A shared mission here, a late night sparring session there. Once they started spending time together outside of their duties, he was already drowning in her.
There was just one thing about her he couldn‘t entirely connect with: Kaburamaru.

Summary
“You’re making a mess, Sanemi.”
The demon’s head snapped up from the meat she’d buried her fangs in. It had been a human once, some swordsman who thought himself capable of taking on an Upper Moon on his own. Those demon slayers were foolish like that.
The voice berating her belonged to none other than Obanai, of course. She always chastised Sanemi, despite their difference in rank.
“Shut your mouth,” Sanemi snapped at the other, though she made no move to try and scare her off. She easily could, but it was hardly worth it.
