“So, which one will turn grey first, your moustache or your hair?”Shane was lying on the sofa; his head sank snugly on Harvey’s lap. He looked up, his husband’s eyebrow furrowed in focus at the journal he was reading. Shane extended his hands, reaching into Harvey’s wavy hair, playfully twirling the ends with his fingers. Harvey finally put his thumb in between the pages of the journal he was reading and looked down at Shane, caressing his face with his other hand.
“I read that sometimes your moustache will turn grey before your hair,” Harvey said, matter-of-factly. Still letting Shane play with his hair.
“Hmm, I can’t imagine it yet but I bet grey would look good on you, Harv.” The tips of his fingers travelled lower to softly touch Harvey’s moustache. However, his eyes drifted to stare blankly beyond Harvey’s face. “I never thought much about the future, to be honest. Didn’t expect to last this long.”
