They were like a family, Dazai never really understood it though, he often felt ostracized from humanity, would they even understand when he was feeling down? He doubted it. His attempts at suicide were usually met with exasperated sighs and lectures from Kunikida, or playful teasing from Ranpo. No one ever seemed to truly grasp the depth of his despair. It was a lonely existence, even surrounded by people who, in their own way, cared.
