Summary
He came to rest on Jayce’s lap, legs lounging across heavy thighs while he nuzzled his face against the breadth of his chest, slotting perfectly in the gap between his dad’s warm body and the side of the chair. Jayce’s arm wrapped around his waist, instinctively resting a wide palm on the petite mound of his ass, stationary and comforting, eyes never leaving the screen on the other side of the room.

Summary
His son didn’t look convinced, and it bothered Jayce to no end to know that Viktor didn’t believe he could protect them from this, just like he had protected them from everything else. Jayce had rescued him from those awful orphanages and given him a place to work and sleep. Stayed up until the early hours of the morning scribbling down blueprints for Viktor’s projects while the boy slept in his lap. Had bought as many toys for Viktor as he could just so he could relive a childhood he never got to experience and let go of all his inhibitions for a while. Jayce had taken Viktor’s virginity when his son had begun displaying deviant tendencies so that he wouldn’t end up getting hurt by some overenthusiastic jerk. Of course he would be able to handle any stupid rumour that Trowler decided to start—if it ever came to it.

Jayce plays it a little too risky and gets caught. He has to remind Viktor of the lengths he's willing to go to.

When he was in his twenties and a brutish young stallion, he had made some mistakes; decisions that wouldn’t serve him in the long run and that always caused a hassle, whispered rumours about a serial something wreaking havoc on vulnerable people. He hadn’t been what some families said, angrily pounding on his mother’s front door and threatening to expose him. Hadn’t been the son she chewed her nails down to nubs with stress over him becoming. Jayce may not have been kind but he was still a good person, no matter what anyone said.
