Summary
“Done hiding now, Dawnstar?” Xaden’s voice cuts through the noise, sharp and smug.
“You knew?” Liam’s voice cracks.
I turn and look at them. Xaden stands with his arms crossed, an infuriating smile playing on his lips. And Liam— gods, Liam— he looks devastated, betrayed, eyes wide and glistening, mouth slightly parted.

Sol Dawnstar knew he couldn’t avoid Liam Mairi forever — but he could certainly try.
When dragons, war, and the ghosts of their past tie them together at every turn, Sol’s dragged into rebellion, secrets, and a love that keeps pulling him back in. But really, it’s not his fault — this is Violet and Xaden’s world, and Sol’s just living in it.

Summary
“You promised.” I say it like a prayer, like a command. “You promised I get to decide when you die. Promise me. Please promise me you will live.”
Liam looks at me and the light in his eyes dims. “I will—”
“Say it again.” I’m almost shouting. I lean in until our foreheads touch, tears sliding down my face to smear across his bloody cheek. “ Say it like you mean it.”
He swallows. “I…promise.” The syllables are fought for. I clutch at him like I can anchor him with my hands.
“You promised me. Remember you promised me, Liam. If you fall, I fall. If you die, I die. That’s the rule.” I press my mouth to his temple and whisper. "Let me be the one to decide. You promised.”

For Sol Dawnstar, loving Liam Mairi was the easy part. But love is never enough. Not when the dead don’t stay dead and hidden truths claw their way to the surface, Sol has to decide what matters more: the answers he’s been chasing, or the consequences of finding them.****

Summary
“Violet will never give up on Xaden, Ridoc,” I say. “She’s going to keep looking for a cure—”
“I know—” Ridoc interrupts.
“And you don’t see the problem with that?” I step closer. “Xaden channeled to keep her safe, and all she does is put herself in danger.”
Ridoc’s eyes widen in realization.
“And she’s going to keep doing it,” I continue, closing the distance between us. “So you’re going to keep your mouth shut and walk out that door. Because the last thing I want to do is to leave Bodhi without a boyfriend.”
“Liam,” Ridoc pleads, turning to him.
“Listen to him, Ridoc,” Liam warns, drawing a dagger.

Violet will never stop trying to save Xaden.
The problem? She might destroy herself—and everyone around her—in the process.
Sol Dawnstar has always believed knowledge is power. But when the people he loves start choosing sacrifice over survival, he’s forced to decide whether saving them means standing beside them…
Or standing in their way.
Liam Mairi already knows where he stands.
Red Carrick doesn’t.

Summary
“I wouldn’t know. I’m… a virgin.”
The words leave Bodhi Durran’s perfect lips and the entire world just stops.
My brain forgets how to function. My lungs forget how to breathe.
“I’m sorry. What now?” I gasp.
Bodhi’s ears turn bright red as his gaze drops to the floor. “I just— I’ve never…” He makes a vague gesture, like the air might fill in the blanks for him.
I choke on absolutely nothing. “But you’re Bodhi Durran. Do you—do you even know how hot you are? How many people would kill to have your attention? You could literally have anyone you wanted. How is that even like possible?”
I’m babbling. I’m aware I’m babbling. I cannot stop babbling.
His head snaps up. “You think I’m hot?”
And that’s when I realize I’ve done it again.
I've said the quiet part out loud.
