Hawks didn't want the task of taking care of a kid. but know that he had said kid, well the world better be ready for the hell Hawks will bring down upon the world if his kid is hurt. Wait no Tsunagu don't laugh at him. He means it! This kid is the most important thing now! Dabi will have to deal with the fact that Hawks is giving up chasing after him. he will not toss this kids life away for a bounty that Hawks isn't really interested in anyway.
" Hawks had that gun since he had joined up with Jeanist and Edgeshot. It was something he bought with his first share of a bounty. Hawks really liked that gun, but he could find the idea of trusting the kid with it nice. He knew that gun would shoot just fine. And he trusted it wouldn’t jam up on the kid either. Another perk was that it was a well-known gun. He had at one point been a gunslinger so it would tell people who exactly the kid was riding with. "
