Slade hated that he couldn’t stop thinking about it, about him. The target had finally been dispatched, and though he should be heading back home, he couldn’t stop the way his mind picked at him. So now, here he was, watching from the roof of a building as the omega below leaned into the taller, bigger man’s side, a dopey smile on his face.
Slade gagged at the sight, and forced himself to move on.
It seemed Dick’s plan had worked. Flash took him as an omega. Slade tried to ignore the fact that he’d seen a red, healing mark on his throat. He knew Dick wasn’t his. But his alpha hated it.
Right now, leaning over the edge watching as they left the theater, the other man running a hand through Dick’s hair and tucking his bangs behind his ear with a sweet and flirty smile, Slade could feel his alpha snarling, wanting to rip the other’s throat out.

The mer at first glance wasn’t a good match for his brother. Dick was slim, his tail was fairly small, but this mer’s tail was obviously muscular and bigger than Dick’s had ever been. His chest was also large, with rounded breasts on it. But then Jason looked closer. His skin was the right colour for his brother, his hair was the right colour and texture, his facial features were shaped just like Dick’s. And there was a bite mark around his nipple exactly like Dick’s had in the photo they’d found.
And hadn’t Dick been mated and bred according to that paper? Dick was an omega now, right? The condition he was in, with the oversized chest and tail were common in the first year after giving birth. The tail grew larger while carrying and would stay big as long as the omega used it and needed the strength it provided, which was common when caring for a pup. And the chest was expanded until the pup was weaned. If Dick had only recently gotten pregnant in that article photo, then his pup would be about six months old.
Bruce frowned. “I don’t–”
“It’s Dick,” Jason said, placing his hand on his father’s shoulder and squeezing. “He had a baby, dad.”
