Summary
As Lucas tapped his pen on his chin, he looked out the window at the day’s dying light. He considered his words before he began:
Today I have purchased this notebook at a steep discount to replace the one that was ruined by the waters of Lake Yumina (must not forget — repay Misasagi the remaining 1620 G at earliest convenience). I am currently residing in an abandoned house in the southern portion of a small town named Rigbarth. Tonight, I shall begin the monumental task of recounting all that has happened since I awoke in a chilly cavern.If you’re like me and got obsessed with filling in the gaps in Lucas’ backstory, this fic is for you. Parts of the fic recycle canon dialogue, but mostly it expands what we were given and changes the order or details of some events.
Also, I couldn’t decide between Alice or Ares, so I said ‘why not both?’ and made them into a nonbinary person named Ari.
EDNOS is tagged because Lucas has trouble remembering to eat/sleep and noticing his body’s cues for those things.
The majority of characters from RF5 are referenced or make an appearance, but I’ve tagged everyone who has importance to the plot.

Ari didn’t know which possibility was worse: that they had forgotten everyone who had ever been important to them, or that they might not have ever had friends like this at all.
It's one of many questions that plagues Ari after they wake up on a strange spell circle in unfamiliar forest with a maybe-stranger's bag and no memories. But before they can even attempt to piece together what happened to them, Ari has to help a little girl find her missing mother.
Ari is my nonbinary version of RF5's player character. This work is a prequel about how Ari settled into their new life in Rigbarth before the events of Who Remembers a God.

What happened after Gideon took Oswald to SEED HQ?
The Warden of SEED and the Bandit King reunite in Cloudheim and discuss the rangers of Rigbarth Outpost, the newly revived 'dark dragon,' and the corrupt King Regent.
This scene takes place before the events of Who Remembers a God, but you do not need to be familiar with WRaG to be able to enjoy this fic. The player character in this setting is nonbinary and named Ari. In the context of Rune Factory 5's canon, this meeting happens a day or two before players enter Atohl's End.
