Summary
To tell Korra's story and keep the action fast, the Legend of Korra show sometimes skipped over smaller moments. This story for book 1 isn't to rewrite any of the actual episodes, but to fill in some gaps, where smaller shared moments happened between characters - specifically Asami and Korra, though I'll touch upon moments between Asami and Bolin and Asami and Mako too. All of this will be from Asami Sato's perspective since her perspective is the one that the show didn't show nearly as much as the other characters.
The tale will begin in Book 1 after Asami saves Korra and her friends from her father. This is the first part of the Shared Moments series, which will cover all four books up to Legend of Korra: Turf Wars spirit world adventures. That's the goal anyway. (I may rewrite/reimagine episodes in future books depending).

Summary
In the six months between Book 1 and Book 2, Asami struggles with how to pick up the pieces after her father's horrific attempt on her life and his actions that drove Future Industries into the ground. This part of the series details how she starts to repair the damage.
I feel like there's a lot of character development for Asami here that happened behind the scenes, and I wanted to explore that. (As well as how friendship with Bolin, which in Season 2 we see how they act a bit like siblings.) I also feel like Korra has respect for all Asami did to help bring down Amon, and that this is where their friendship starts to develop a bit more - though Mako puts a wrench in that at times (unintentionally though). Eventually, Asami heals enough to enjoy being around him again - as we see in Season 2, so I wanted to show that a bit too. Also, I'm absolutely 100% convinced that Asami liking Korra (her words to Mako in Season 1) is more than just liking her as a friend. So I wanted to show that tension and Korra being oblivious. ;)
Completed! This series flows into the next fic - Book 2: Spirits, and some characters in this one will appear in that one.

The look of exhaustion on Asami’s face made Korra hesitate. The engineer had been through a harrowing ordeal. “You need rest, and here I am still talking.”
“Yes, but I’m here. I can still listen,” Asami insisted.
“I know…” That tugged at Korra’s heart, and she suddenly wanted to weep. The day had caught up with her: the visions, the cave, the portal, the dark spirits that still fought humans, her uncle’s actions, and her father keeping the truth from her. How could so many things happen in the span of two days? She looked at Asami, and again the engineer had that patient look on her face, where she waited for Korra to speak. Waited with never-ending patience it seemed. That was too much for her to handle.
“No, you need rest. I’ll be back early tomorrow morning.” Korra pushed herself to her feet.
Asami looked worried. “Okay.”
Korra rushed out of the house, unable to bear being present with someone who seemed to see her in a way that frightened her.

Summary
Team Avatar returns to Republic City after saving the world and ending a world war. Rebuilding after war is tough, and the four are determined to do their best. Asami finds herself struggling with nightmares and PTSD from the war. She also has the chance to bid for the rebuilding of Republic City's roads and energy needs, but as she helps Korra investigate the vines, the pair finds themself increasingly embroiled in confusing mysteries related to her mansion, Varrick's trial, healing from trauma, how to be a couple, and increasing public attention. All the while mysterious reports of new air benders start to crop up.
Set in the weeks before Book 3. It is the Aftermath of my AU/rewrite of Book 2, the prior installment of the Shared Moments series. Then we'll transition to Book 3 (the next installment in Shared Moments after 2.5). Thanks for reading!
P.S. This is more a slice of life with political shenanigans scattered here and there. It will also deal heavily with the PTSD from war.

Summary
New Airbenders are appearing all across the world. Team Avatar joins Tenzin, Bumi, and Jinora for a voyage to seek out the air benders and rebuild the Air Nation. However, political unrest in Republic City threatens Asami's company, and a new threat appears on the horizon - the Red Lotus has unearthed itself and seeks to strike hard at the Avatar and all the world leaders, starting with the Earth Kingdom.
Note: This book will follow the canon story somewhat close - as in it'll have a lot of the same story beats but will also include the impact of the prior books in this series: Book 1, Book 1.5, Book 2, and Book 2.5. It is recommended that those are read first. Book 2 in particular is crucial since much of the incidents there have large ripple effects in this book. So enjoy the ride and happy reading!

Summary
Korra and Asami head South to help heal from the poisoning they suffered from Zaheer. Except, Korra has insisted Asami split her time between Republic City and the South. Asami, recognizing her role as the Avatar's Mirror, takes up her mantle to try to unravel political unrest in Republic City and the Earth Kingdom. A Civil War looms between Ba Sing Se and Omashu, and Asami has no idea who to trust anymore. While assisting Asami's burgeoning mutual aid network, members of the Air Nation discover alarming news relating to the potential Civil War. Asami goes undercover with the Krew, while she struggles to balance her work with her own healing and her relationship with Korra.
Meanwhile, Korra falls deeper into depression and wonders if the world truly needs an Avatar after all.
(For events leading up to this, see Books 1 through 3 of Shared Moments. I do not own LOK characters, just happen to love writing them.)

Summary

Bolin spies on Kuvira for Asami and uncovers a disturbing conspiracy. Meanwhile, Korra desperately searches for Toph in order to finally heal herself so she can return to Asami's side. The Krew and Air Nation fight to avoid a second World War, but as Kuvira continues her take over of the Earth Kingdom that grows more and more difficult. Can they stop her in time?
