Summary
Jason woke up three times that day: once when his alarm went off, forgotten about the night before, and he nearly threw his phone across the room in his haste to turn it off; once when the warm body in his arms slipped out of bed with a gentle kiss pressed to his lips and a murmured ‘go back to sleep, Jay’; and once when Lian’s shrill laughter from the other room finally tugged him into full wakefulness, groaning and burying his face in the closest pillow he could reach. It smelled like Roy, and he breathed in deep for a long minute, maybe two, the smell of Roy’s shampoo and conditioner and aftershave all mixing pleasantly into the imagined shape of him, before he finally sat up and stretched with a yawn so wide his jaw cracked.
