Why would Derek hide this from him, though, other werewolves being in town. Is it because Scott shot him down in flames that night? But it can't be – Derek's been so good, lately, at not being that guy, at least not with Stiles.

It's only when Derek gets to the apartment, digging into his front pocket for his keys, that he realises Stiles is pack. It makes him stop, staring at his door with one hand in his pocket, because he can't pinpoint when that happened. There's a week old trace of Stiles tickling at the back of his nose and it breaks the moment. Of course Stiles would be the one to find his apartment – he probably stole the address from his father's files.

How far is a werewolf's hearing range, anyway? Stiles files that on the list of Things I Really Need To Get Derek To Tell Me and shifts in his seat. There's still time to call Scott & Isaac. His phone hadn't gone off on the drive over, which means they haven't found what they're looking for yet.
