Summary
When Avery ran, she left a lot of holes in quite a few places, but she didn't do it without reason. She did it to protect those she loved and to find out exactly who's after her and Lucas. She finds a strange ally along the way, one that unbeknownst to her, is helping to keep her pack intact, even if it's not exactly in the most truthful of ways.
Derek and Stiles are a mess without her. Derek's gone more than he's home trying to track her down, and Stiles is doing the best he can to keep the volatile beta in his care from going off like a rocket. It doesn't help matters at all that there's things just popping up that has him questioning everything and they still have no clue who's after them.
