    Everything you said about Lucius—the failed house propped up by the son he's still trying to control—is exactly the rot at the centre of it. He hasn't learned one bit.

    And Narcissa... "at some point your background stops being a reason"—that's exactly it. She made a choice on that battlefield. She just hasn't finished making it yet.

    As for Ron—Hermione is going to be just fine. Better than fine.
