Summary
TOTK spoilers. The Demon King has been defeated and the princess returned to hylian form. Link and Zelda now have to move forward after their second cataclysmic event. And now they may have finally decided to stop wasting time. Or at least, Zelda is finally gonna open the door and Link will happily walk through it. M for violence, lemons, depictions of trauma, sparse language.
This is a posting of my story from Fanfiction.net. I'm the original author of the work on that site, I'm simply porting it over here because I figured somebody would appreciate it. I've kept all my original authors notes, so if the timeline of posting seems off based on those notes, that's why. But while I'm the author of Never Again, I own no Zelda IP beyond this fan contribution.

Summary
After defeating Calamity Ganon, Zelda and her knight without memory set off to visit each of the lands. Along the way they run into powerful foes that are consumed with rage at the Calamity's defeat. They seem determined to ensure its victory- even if it means resetting the clock. Now Link and Zelda have to save their past and everyone in it before their victory over the Calamity is wiped away for good.

Prince Link is the last of seven siblings and the only alpha. This means that if he wants to make a mark in the service of his country that does not take the form of a prodigious marriage, he must find a field outside of his siblings’ shadow.
He takes the opportunity to travel the world beyond his tiny kingdom and is kidnapped by Hatenoan children to visit their haunted well. To his surprise, the well really is haunted.
“I AM THE GREAT MAGE ZELDA!” declared the frog woman with duckweed for hair. “WHAT IS THE FORM OF YOUR TRIBUTE?!”

Summary
They had been travelling for hours through the oppressive heat, plastering link’s golden locks to his forehead and making his shirt stick to him in uncomfortable ways. Despite all of this, Link was more worried about Zelda; she had hurt her ankle in the middle of a fight, falling with a loud cry against the grass.
They had long passed over the border between Hyrule field and into Ridgeland when Link remembered a small thermal pool he had visited here long ago that had healed a nasty wound in his leg after a fight. It was out of the way, but Zelda was his priority.
Little did Link realize, a lot more than some simple healing benefits would happen in that pool tonight.
