Satoru sighs. He combs fingers through silky black strands, where he’s already pulled it free from all knots. He takes awhile to answer, and then, he says:
“Wanna know a secret? It’s kind of horrible.”
Suguru seems confused, a little out of it. He whispers back “Sure.”
Satoru looks at him meaningfully, and says,
“I don’t care.”

Or: It took some time, for Satoru to get over himself enough to see his best friend spiralling. Shoko cracks open the windows to Suguru's stuffy room and makes them lunch and thinks maybe late is better than never.

Summary
Suguru never planned this—really, he didn’t. He’s not that kind of person.
He never meant to touch himself with Satoru in the same room, never even imagined he’d be willing to go through with it at all. He never meant for things to unfold this way, and he certainly didn’t plan on getting caught while doing it, either.
But here they were, stuck in a situation that not even Suguru could talk his way out of.
But life has a funny way of working out sometimes, and as it turns out, it might not have been such a bad idea after all. -
