Welcome!

This is the AO3 collection for XiCheng Week 2019-- a week dedicated to the pairing of Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng, from the series Mo Dao Zu Shi! From August 4th until August 10th, please join us in celebrating these two! As per most fanweeks, each day has prompts to choose from in a certain theme. For each day, you are free to choose just one or mix them together! The choice is yours! All we ask is that you have fun with us.

Q1: What is a ship week?
A ship week is when people come together to create content concerning one specific ship! In this case, it is XiCheng. Typically, there are themes to be followed for each day!

Q2: How do I participate?
Each day has two possible prompts to choose from concerning XiCheng. On that day, you pick one-- or both!-- prompts, and you create your work! It can be fanart, meta, edits, fanmixes, fanfics, anything you can think of-- all that we ask is that it is created for this event! Then, you post your work to Twitter, Tumblr, or AO3. If it is on twitter, the Xicheng Week Twitter will retweet it. If it is on tumblr, the Xicheng Week Tumblr will reblog it. Finally, if it is posted onto AO3, it can be submitted to this collection for easy perusing!

 
Q3: How do I submit my work?
Simple! On Tumblr or Twitter, make sure to tag your work with #XiChengWeek2019 so your work can be properly shared on our Twitter and Tumblr! If you also wish, you can submit your work to the Tumblr as well! Furthermore, there is an AO3 collection to include your works as well.

Q4: Can I collaborate with others?
Absolutely! All that we ask is that you properly credit those involved.

 
Q5: Can I submit my work in any language?
Of course! Works in any languages are accepted.

 
Q6: Do I have to stick to the prompt for each day?
The prompts are guidelines! We ask that, if you are going to stick to a prompt, you do so on the corresponding day-- but that isn't a strict rule! Remember, this is all to have fun and to support XiCheng. The prompts are just to help that goal along! Interpret the prompts however you wish!

❀ Be sure to tag all entries as #xichengweek2019 both on Tumblr and Twitter so they may be easily reblogged/retweeted/searched by fellow participants!

❀ All works are accepted into the event– fanfiction, fanart, donghua/manhua edits, meta, and cosplay included! Furthermore, works in any language are accepted! We just ask that the works be created exclusively for the event, and not reposts, continuations, or anything else previously used for other events.

❀ Considering that some of the topics may be NSFW and/or 18+ in nature, please tag appropriately! In your tags, please include any and all appropriate warnings for content that may be triggering or harmful. This includes, but is not limited to: mentions of gore, character death, non-con, graphic violence, etc. We want a safe browsing experience! If your art is explicit, please use a preview image so it can be reblogged/retweeted onto the main Twitter or Tumblr!

❀ Ship hate/character hate will not be tolerated! This week is to celebrate Xicheng, not to hate on any other pairing or character, nor on the ship this week supports. Any entries doing so will not be reblogged or retweeted. Be nice!
