Weiss Schnee is in love with Ruby Rose. That's a fact, as much as she once would've liked to say it's not. But, now? They've gotten closer and closer, and Weiss really starts to think that she may have a chance...
And then they arrive in Atlas.
Soon, Ruby is being pulled in so many directions that not one of them leads her to her partner. Initially that's fine, Ruby's needed elsewhere, after all, but then... Then it gets worse to the point of weeks going by without them so much as exchanging a sideways glance let alone words. And then Ruby starts to pay a lot more of her attention elsewhere... Weiss isn't jealous, she's not! ...But... She can't deny the pain in her chest, growing and festering with every waking moment she comes closer and closer to the conclusion that Ruby doesn't like her, not in the same way at least. She figured the pain was emotional, not physical, but...A blossoming blood red rose would say otherwise.

Summary
Every resident of the town of Silvercloud knows that something isn’t quite right about their home. It’s an ancient instinct, a drive for self-preservation, for knowing when you’re being hunted. They may not consciously know that their town was a nexus for all kinds of the supernatural, but something still drove them to check the locks every night.
But that’s why Ruby wants to be a Hunter. Why she wants to help her family keep her town safe against the wraiths, the ghosts, and above all else, the vampires.
The Schnee bloodline have preyed upon the citizens of Silvercloud since they helped build the town itself, and Ruby knows that the next scion, Weiss, isn't going to be any different from her predecessors. No matter how much she seems like she wants to be better, or how she shows a level of restraint that should break her just to attempt, deep down she was just as monstrous as all the others of her kind.

Summary
A non-canon divergence from an early chapter in my L4D/RWBY AU. The team has to make their way through the subway tunnels to get to Mercy Hospital, which is the last evacuation point in the city of Fairfield, PA. Along the way, they encounter hordes of Infected, some unexpected surprises, and their first crescendo event in the generator room.
The diverging point: When Weiss gets attacked by a certain Special Infected, will the team be able to make it to her in time? Or will she succumb to the Green Flu?
